So much awesomeness in one night!


Southern Artisan Cheese Festival

September 30th | 6-9pm

Nashville Farmers' Market


Cheesemakers, food artisans and craft brewers (more than thirty in all) from Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia will be here sampling their delicious, hand-crafted wares for one fabulous evening at the Nashville Farmers' Market. You'll be able to meet the good folks who work hard to create so many delicacies, learn more about how they do it, and, to the delight of your tastebuds, be able to taste amazing cheeses, cured meats, jams, mustard, breads, crackers, and more!

A couple fun highlights of the festival...We'll be tasting two brand new cheeses from our pals at Sequatchie Cove Creamery and Looking Glass Creamery. Pine Street Market is bringing a gorgeous 18 month aged proscuitto leg for us to savor! We will get to try Atlanta Fresh Creamery's Greek Yogurt as they bring it to Nashville for the first time. Whole Foods Market will be demonstrating how to make a stellar cheese plate. And you can get yourself one of the gorgeous souvenir Hatch Prints (pictured above.)

As a special bonus for the evening, cheesemonger Tim Gaddis and Chef Anne Quatrano from Star Provisions/Bacchanalia/Abbatoir in Atlanta will be presenting two sessions during the festival:
"Bacchanalia Pairings"
"A Day in the Life of a Cheesemaker"


There is no extra cost to participate in the sessions, but you will need to RSVP. To sign up, send an email to info@southerncheesefest.com listing your name *and* which session you would like to attend. We have room for 20 people in each session, and spots will be filled first come, first served. You will receive an email response to let you know if you are one of the first 20 for the session you requested.


We'll be offering a number of southern craft brews and a selection of wines curated by Woodland Wine Merchant for your pairing pleasure. Our cheesemakers and food artisans are bringing plenty of goodies so you can purchase some of your favorites to take home. And we'll get you started with a $5 voucher towards any of their offerings at the event (advance tickets only).

Tickets for those enjoying food, beer, and wine are $40. For our folks who are not imbibing, there's a $20 ticket. If you buy your ticket in advance, you get a $5 voucher with your ticket towards the purchase of any cheeses or artisan food for sale that night. That brings the tickets to $35 and $15!
A portion of proceeds will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and the American Cheese Society Education Foundation. (Yep, we're eating cheese *and* doing some good!)


(We will limit the number of tickets sold, and tickets purchased at the door will be $50/$30 and won't include the voucher. So it would be extra smart of you to go ahead and get tickets now!)

  2. I hope this event was fantastic! Just read about it over on It's Not You, It's Brie and had to come check it out. Are there any pics from the festival? Will you do it again? I hope so. I need a reason to get back to Hotlanta. Cheers from Philadelphia!
